A thread I made just to make sure my own computer could run it... there is a link in the actual thread to official system requirements (as of beta)

put the game on medium your system will run it fine. the beta is not optimized yet tho.

Pick ya faction and name Spawn at the warpgate and run around for a few get a feel for the weapons etc.

Click f11 to auto join a squad and try to catch up with them and stick with them until you get the jest of the game.

Spawn a Galaxy............................... Crash
Spawn a Liberator.............................Crash
Spawn a Reaver/Scythe/Mosquito....... Crash

If you really wanna join the club and do like everyone else you will spawn any of the above, then crash it into any combination of the above myriad aircraft parked all over the warp gate and kill a couple friendlies in the process.

These seem to be the standard operating procedures for all new guys including myself.

The 1st thing you should do is find a good group, which unfortunately I havent been able to after like 50 hours of gameplay. Soloing is very boring since the action is so random and far from each other. Find a group who stick together. atm its terrible, I cant even find the random group I join on the map.

Besides that, crank ur mouse sensivity for vehicles to full. They are terrible at handling with a mouse, especially flying.

Well after my first night...... I can play everything maxed :) The quad seems to shift about 1000 times at top speed XD and the flight was a lot easier than I thought. So far an amazing game can't wait till I can contribute more.

Given that my system can run the game on high graphical detail, yours will be able to run on high as well. It's all the shooting that tanks the CPU performance and starves the GPU, but with your core i5 you won't have that problem. Just we poor Core2 Quad/Duo and Pentium 4/D and AMD users.
