Me aiming on a target and it doesn't hit.

Aiming to the left and it hits, though I don't get why hitting a target provides to explosion. I think this is why people get frustrated with Libs or AA/AV weapons in general because when they hit, they often don't render anything so it feels like small arms fire.

Again with the Pounder, I have to aim to the left to hit, this time it renders something...

I couldn't get the bullets to show up on the picture but for some reason sometimes the Turret gets bugged and the bullets fire above the crosshair here.

This does not always happen though.

Me aiming directly on a target with the rifle...

Me with the Chain Gun AI MAX gun..

Me with the AA gun again to prove the pounder and AA aren't just bugged.

Also SOE can you please shut up about hackers in game, I commented in game because you keep broadcasting it every other second and it is so annoying.

Projectiles come out of the barrel, not from the middle of your forehead (as many games make it).

The crosshair aren't broken, you're just too close for them to be "aligned", so to speak.

The crosshair should always be the center, it should never hit anywhere else.

Actually, there IS one crosshair that is truly terrible, and that's for hip-firing scout rifles for Infiltrators. How the hell do you aim those things? ugh.

what KaskaMatej said. if you move back a bit the projectiles will meet in the centre and hit the target. the crosshair is not an ironsight, it is just there to tell you the general direction of where your bullets will hit. and guns don't have zero recoil either.

An the viewing camera should be always on top so you can shoot over cover without being seen whatsoever.

Miffy, your threads are hilarious - please keep posting them!

It's great to read something light-headed once in a while when most people aredead serious about their complaints.

The crosshair should always be the center, it should never hit anywhere else.

That's IF the bullets spawn from the center of the screen. If the bullets spawn from the gun then there needs to be a give and take to where the bullets land depending on how close you are to the target. You'll end up firing at very wild angles without doing so. For example look at the keypad of your keyboard and think of that as the games screen.

The gun would be at 3 and crsshairs at 5. The closer you get to the target when hip firing the greater the angle needed to hit the target from the bullet spawn (3). Without a limiter your missed shots would end up hitting number 7 and beyond the closer your target gets instead of behind the target (5). ADS (aim down sights) puts the gun center screen and thus the bullet spawn center screen fixing your "problem".

An easy way to see just where a bullets spawns is to hug a wall. Put your gun behind said wall while the crosshairs are in the open and shoot at the distance (do not ADS). If the bullets hit the wall then they spawn from the gun, if not then out of your face (center of screen).

unless your close up why are you hip firing the thing in the first place?

Miffy should always post something dumb, it should never be anything else.

We could still steer this into useful waters by discussing if and how crosshairs should be customizable, because these reflex-sight red dots are sometimes hard as hell to see. Dark-red dot on dark-something surface is kinda sucky.

I want a yellow dot. Or a green one. Shaped like smeds forehead. Or whatever.
But i definetely want to be able to CHOOSE what dot and color i use. Because it wouldn't be dark red.

Edit: Or we keep this ship sailing in the comical waters of captain miffy. Fine with me too.

Totally agree. Would love to be able to change the crosshair / dot color. For VS, the two scopes I've tried are both light blue...and they are very difficult for me to see, especially on Esamir.

Exactly. I have to hip fire when in close - unless I buy the Artemis which is the only one designed for hacker gameplay. You ever try to hip fire the standard gun? The sights are ridiculous.
