Ok just wanted the people's opinions. :)

Also is it better to stick with same brand or does it not matter what brand of RAM you use with another? (I currently have a 256 Kingston in my PC)

Well, I have 1024 MB RDRam of Corsair in my system. At the time of my system purchase it was actually the only option made available to me, so I chose it. It has been great, I ordered myself another couple of sticks a couple of weeks ago(bumping me to my current 1024) and everything on my PC seems to load fast.

I don't believe Crucial makes RDRam, so that's really not an option for me, period.

Dio, I'm so dissapointed, how can you only have 256 MB?

If money is no object, Corsair = win.

This is a horrible poll Dio. I'm ashamed in you. :-P

Corsair blows the two other companies listed out of the water. Corsair is considered high performance type stuff and is geared to the high end user.

Now if you want a good comparison:

Mushkin or Corsair?

That's a tough one.

Well those 3 are the ones i hear most. :)

And Civ we're not all rich, some of us can spend 200$ on someone's website, others can't. :D

Yeah, Civ's a rich bastard. You should buy whatever computer part I need for my computer! :P

Anyhow, what were we talking about? Oh, memory....
Yeah, Corsair blows the other two out of the water. Cost is a big factor though, You'll generally shell out a good amount for Mushkin/Corsair, but Crucial and Kingston you can generally get cheaper.

On the mixing and matching thing, generally it is better to get identical sticks, but if you do mix, just make sure to put the larger stick in the primary RAM slot (generally labeled 0 or 1). If they are the same size, then put the faster RAM there.

Ok price isn't mich a factor here, from the different places i checked Corsair is only a bit more expensive.

Now i currently have 256 of Kingston (i think, would have to check but i'm 90% positive it's Kingston) so do i get a 512 of Corsair or Kingston?

Better transfer rates (lower timings) and the most important thing:
Lifetime warranties.

Mushkin! They come shipped in air pillows and CAS 2-2-2 is just great. Corsair makes a great stick of ram though, I'm just brand loyal that's all.

I just like Mushkin because of the fact if I ever feel the need to OC my RAM, Mushkin is the brand to do it with. Otherwise, Mushkin and Corsair high performance are identical.

512mb of pc3200 Corsair XMS here. Has heat spreaders and all. When OCing my mobo/cpu hit their limit before the ram does. :) It's great stuff!!!
