I think thats because fans genuinely 'get' it and care passionately about their games.
Whereas soe giving the job to a few hired voice actors and an advertising arm are just going through the motions. There's no soul . You have to wonder who approved the official version . Maybe it's some 50 year old executive with no clue who think its maybe cool for a 10 year old to see it .
I agree with Gamebreaker guys ( one of them thought one faction was the Terran McMuffin lol ) soe need to hire someone a bit more savvy .
