It's hardly letting it die with dignity when the only real thing they've done after abandoning the game years ago was nerfing the Lasher.

Someone at one point had a private server, but it was never released to the point of people playing on it. As far as I remember he only played around on it to figure out more about the game. No idea how he got it running either.
