I think I'm going for the full on Galaxy pilot. I loved filling that role in the original game. I'd love to pimp out the Galaxy with Dragonwolf graphics on the nose, much like the Flying Tigers did to their Warhawks.
The exhiliration of taking off just before an OS hits still sits in my brain as a great moment. Sure the loitering could get boring, but it's a role that needs to be filled sometimes.
But should a Galaxy pilot not be needed for a mission, then I'll go back to the full-on support role I loved as well. Advanced Medic, Engineer and Advanced Hacker. Blow the door, heal the outfit and fix their broken stuff. All the while pressing forward to obliterate the enemy.

As for me, I'll be filling the leadership/commander role. Gotta keep my guys buffed and in line.
