Ok, maybe I'm expecting to much from these interviews in terms of journalistic digging.
Either way, Hamma posted that only SOE knows the full extent of the server population stats. But doesn't that mean that they are the ideal guys to ask about server population?
Let me restart the conversation.
PS is the game that I'm rooting for, I've tried most of the big name FPSs and RTSs out there and I want (very much) for it to succeed. It is an amazing technical acheivment, and it's gameplay is second to none as it just 'feels' right.
But let me be clear. At the present rate of decline (around 5000 logins less per month - see dicepoint etc.) Eventually there will be a critical point where there won't be too many people to fight. And then we (the community) will have to make hard descisions.
Spork said there was a plan, he also said that there would be a revealing of that plan in a week. I WANT to be enthousiastic about Sony making the right descisions, but when someone doesn't follow through, it puts that enthousiasm in jeapordy.
I know it's not in your policy to talk to them about population, but I think that population loss is the biggest threat to the success of OUR game.
