Nice story! I like the idea of a background conflict between the scientists and the commanders of the war and the soldiers who fight in it.
I also like how the soldier involved isn't just a mindless killing machine - he is someone who has been used, lied to and who want to gets out. It makes the Planetside world a lot more interesting to have characters like this!
