Is that correct because I thought the hitching you could see occasionally was related to the memory on your graphics card not being able to cope with rapid loading and unloading of objects and textures and having to swap with memory and ultimately disk.
And of course this would also be impacted by the meory on your card and the amount of RAM in the PC, I'd assume the management of this data wiould be done by graphics drivers+the OS itself. Along with this, 32bit PC would never (I'd hope) have more than 4Gb memory anyway.
