@supermorto glad to hear

imo we don't need to log in either or have people deployed on the ground, we can fetch data via XML and build a bulletin every hour or so.
we could also automate everything using a text2speech function over a sentence constructor,it's easy as pie actually,if provided xml has enought data to be meaningful.
people just have to be logged in a TS3 and they will hear an update every hour from a pc.or via live streaming...

"News bulletin, 16 pm server time, VS captured 2 facilities on ishundar, facing hard opposition from TR forces attacking from East.Situation seems on a stalemate with current forces rounding at 36% for the TR and 38% of VS.Remaining NC forces are conquering terrain on amerish, heavy assault is being used the most,while VS are trying to regroup..."

this could be generated via streamed xml data and even tailored to each empire,with more stuff on what you care...or even to the outfit specific activities, data just need to be parsed to understand what changed and assembled with a sentence pattern generator and then populated with data...
if we can get some statistics like "how many/what kind of missions have been assigned by wich empire" than we really can create something accurate that can report via text or audio the whole situation making also predictions based on mission type trends.
