If you save Certification Points by buying weapons, why can't you just BUY Certification Points?

because that will give a HUGE inherent advantage to the paying customer, getting the game a label of "Pay-to-win."
Getting labeled P2W equals less players, less players equals higher prices to milk the same amount of money out of them,
higher prices equals GAME DEAD!
Remember that this isn't a subscription game anymore, they need to make some money somehow, but making it so that Character Advancement is absolutely necessary for both side-grade unlocks AND actual upgrades will make paying for weapons the quickest way to advance.
