If somebody says "weeks away" I think:

Less than 2 months, greater than 2 weeks. If it was 2 or more months, some people would expect to hear stuff like "months away" or "a couple of months away." It's probably 2 or more weeks away, because if it was less why wouldn't he just say the massive hype building words "next week."

So by my inaccurate assessment, I think beta will start no earlier than two weeks, but before 2 months.
