CC are pointless to have in Europe as you can buy everything you want with your bank's Debit Card, from fuel for your car, a candy bar, your grocery shopping to that nice new PC. I believe in the whole of the Netherlands there are less then 800 stores where you can actually pay with a CC, and most of those are for very expensive or exclusive items.
I was able to pay for Alpha-Squad using Direct Debit though, SOE still has my account info from when I had a DCUO subscription. |

https://www.3vcard.nl/ You just add money on it via iDeal, the downside is that you pay €2 when you add funds to your card. However I used that exact same card to buy alpha squad and it worked just fine
afaik you also don't have to pay a yearly fee so having that card can never hurt.
