Just because it is an implied transport doesn't mean it isn't a lightning. We haven't seen it yet, and it could be an IFV for all we know. Its the one Nanite Systems vehicle we haven't seen and don't have a lot of details on. And here Nanite Systems unveils a vehicle.

One thing I have faith in is that they won't introduce a new vehicle without a purpose, and so far transport vehicles have had multiple roles. I expect this thing is no different. Some sort of supply vehicle or IFV are reasonable possibilities.
