Ground Vehicle Physics - Must haves

  • You must be able to drive up a 45 degree slope in a tank without slowing.
  • You must be able to roll your vehicle at higher speeds
  • Engineers should be able to deploy ramps for jumping outer walls into structures.
  • You must be able to get some air time while off-roading (See attached video for more details)

I want E-Brake slides for buggies and ATV`s.

Not too keen on rolling for that reason...

There should be big differences in how wheeled vs tracked vs antigrav deal with slopes.

Inertia and momentum values would be cool...

I'm assuming the idea for engineers to be able to build ramps to jump walls was a joke.

Higby already said something along the lines of,

"All vehicles will handle differently. For example, where a tank may have trouble getting up a certain hill, an ATV may have no problem zipping over it and getting some air time".

I like the video. How were you able to propel your vehicles through the air like that?

I don't care what they do with physics as long as they don't resemble what they were in PS1. A broken mess.

Buggies should have certs for turbo and a thruster/gyro pack that keeps the thing more stable at high speed and allows for some turning/strafing in mid air(part of the reason the thresher was my fav was how you could still control it a bit during jumps).

Threshers, mags, and anything else hovering should have Battlezone style handling rather than invisible wheel handling.

And some turret stabilization, especially for higher speed vehicles that depend on speed to survive.

Being able to choose between better flat ground handling and speed or better offroad ability would be a nice thing for buggies. lift kits, engine ungrades, etc.

Agreed. Most importantly I want to see the vehicles to handle better on the terrain without the glitchy-ness that exists now - I think it is related more to engine than anything so hopefully it will be fixed.
