We've listened to your feedback and worked with out Art Team to make hats we think everyone will love! The Beret and Cap are out as they don't fit the Sci-Fi theme of the game. All 3 empires how have the Sci-Fi VS hat colored correctly for their empire! This sleek hat can be toggled on/off with the new /hat command and is only accessable to those of BR24 or higher!

May I be the first to say worst idea ever. I guess I will withold further judgement until i see them.. but if its anything like:

That all hats will look like the VS ones are a JOKE.

It said so in the Notes section... which however have been removed here.

Some clarification on the notes was recently posted.

* We will try to have everything ready to be able to open the Test Server sometime Friday evening. This will give you guys the whole weekend to poke around and check out the changes. Please take this time to make new alts and check out the 1st time help tips and polished Training Missions!
* Keymapping Changes: These do not reset your custom keymap settings. I specifically check for this with each new build (my play config is 100% custom - not one key is default)
* UI Changes: The PlanetSide UI has gotten a LOT of tweaking, but has not been replaced with a completely new UI. Veteran players will notice the changes - some very apparent and some more subtle. The purpose of these changes was to make the UI friendlier for new players and make it a little cleaner for our vets.
* Knives: The knife changes are strictly UI upgrades. You can see your knife in your holster and in your inventory window, but they have not been made lootable.
* Playtest Empire Numerical Balance: The last few 2 empire only playtests worked out great. Hopefully enough people have NC and VS high level alts now and we can keep the numbers pretty even. So I want to try a 3 way fight and see how it goes. If everyone piles on one empire I'm going to revert to the 2 empire playtest method and rotate the empires with each new playtest.
