YOU CAN PRE-ORDER PLANETSIDE 2!

This is not a joke, it is not a scam. I've been gushing to my sweet, wonderful girlfriend about Planetside 2 for the past few weeks, and, God bless her, she snuck off to the local Gamestop in our town and asked them if one can pre-order it. The attendant hadn't actually heard of the game, but he looked it up and found that yes, just TWO DAYS before she came in to ask, it appeared on the available pre-order list. So, she bought the game in full, God bless her heart, and crafted this beautiful frame with seed paper and pretty handwriting, wrote me a sweet message, and wrapped the "you own this game" receipt into some scrollwork at the bottom.

So, what does this tell us?

1. My girlfriend is a glorious angel.

2. Planetside 2 will NOT be 100% Free-to-Play.

3. YOU CAN PRE-ORDER PLANETSIDE 2!

Is it possible that I'm the first person on these forums who owns the game? *looks around in confusion* It hadn't even occurred to me to ASK them if I could pre-order it.

YES! SEE?! I was SO amazed when she sweetly handed me the framed message. It's ALL because of her that we found this out!!!!

This is great news!! Except for there being a F2P aspect. Unrelentless hackers FTL [that is unless this new security team is on 24/7] Anyway, I've already pre-ordered it! Thanks for the info.

--I also like that there's a retail version and it isn't exclusive to steam or something.

Where does it metion F2P?


EDIT: Sorry, didn't read the OP's full post. I'm happy about not complete F2P. Maybe they'll segregate the free players?? *fingerscrossed*

They've already hinted at a F2P aspect at the dev panel. And it's SOE. Also, why would they make you spend $50 on a subscription-based game?

No you guys mistake what i was saying. alot of people thought this would be a game where you could just download for free with all microtrans. but now since its retail
