If they're putting those on the turret mounts for the Lib there are going to be a lot more volunteers to tailgun.

It has more of an aircraft ball turret look, but the Sunderer and hypothetical Deliverer are transport platforms?

I am wondering if the ball shape is the mount point or the capsule for the gunner. If that is the gunner capsule, then that is some serious firepower...

Kinda misses the point of a gatling gun.. Their whole purpose is if you need more firepower you just speed it up. Considering I doubt they'll come anywhere close the the many thousands of RPM real gatling guns spit out, they could have just had one and made it behave like a real gatling gun.

Who says it won't "behave like a real gatling gun"? You get millions of rounds of ammo, and chew through it preposterously fast. Each shot does small amounts of damage... presto. Quadruple "real" gatling gun.

I think he was more referring to the fact that the number of barrels are meaningless as they don't all fire at the same time, the way the poster thought. Only one barrel shoots at a time while the others cool themselves.

Well Evilpig is both the OP and the one quoting the 7 x 4 = 28 comment, which was an attempt at correcting his statement of "24 barrels of goodness" comment. So I doubt he's suggesting that the number of barrels is meaningless. Which, by the way, is a silly statement to make. Moar barrels is obviously a good thing.

We're both saying that each rotary gun has 6 barrels, the middle is not a barrel. 6 x 4 = 24.
