Only thing i found was

For instance, in Hamma's list, we had all MAX configs under a single certification. That has already been split up into three configs (anti-air, anti-infantry, and anti-vehicle) for players to acquire.
It doesn't say if you can have all 3 settings but since each one is a seperate cert i would imagine no.

I'm sure i saw somewhere though that a MAX can only have 1 setting at a time. Maybe in the news section...

Tried, can't. We'll have to wait till tomorow for someone to comfirm or deny it but i'm pretty sure a MAX is limited to 1 type of weaponary. If not than the MAX will be VERY dangerous.

I couldn't imagine anyone going as an all anti air max. It would be completely defenseless, that would be completely pointless. I think a max should beable to have 2 of those certs at a time.

they can have more than one CERT at a time but they can't have more than one MAX configuration on at one time. So you could start on AI then get enough BEP to get a level to earn an AV cert then lastly get the AA so you can be kind of versatile.

MAXs wouldn't be able to change weapons because, from the sound of it, the weapons are integrated into the exoskeleton. They're not hand-held weapons, their arm itself is the weapon. So, yeah, you wouldn't be able to swap.

As for the AA MAX being defenseless, it's all in how you use it. If the enemy has an assload of Reavers around, then the AA MAX will definitely have its work cut out for it. But if you were to just run around like a fool chasing air units and you stumbled into an enemy tank, then yeah, you would be fairly screwed, but that's your fault for not playing the part correctly.

Dang no one can confirm it.

Anyway i'm pretty sure it's only 1 type at a time, 2 would be acceptable i guess but 3 would make it too powerful.

As for AA being defenless and pointless you have to remember that 1-just because you're AV or AI doesn't mean your weapon can't harm air units and 2-AA MAXs would have a more defensive role but it doesn't make them useless.

Yeah, i just have a hillarious picture in my head, the battle was just won by the opposite team, you not realizing it, charge in lately with your anti air, and you get knifed by like 20 grunts. Lmao.

I think the max's AA would still be pretty effective against infantry. If it is strong enough to take down an armored gunship, then why couldnt it take out a person?

This dev interview is good. Im an NC pilot my self so the TR AA MAX scares me a bit. But I was thinking. Look at the weps on the AA MAX for NC and TR. While TR would do this better (assuming it has lots and lots of shrapnle) imagine a few dozen infantry charging at 2 TR AA MAXs. Man i would burrow in and let loose with a little flak! Splat Splat Splat! As for the NC AA MAX it seems like its high ROF on those AA missles (sparrows) could do a number on a tank. (probly couldnt stop one but it could put a dent in them and make em consider messing with you and a friend, two of them could probly take on any tank in the game and come out on top).
