Playing on different PS servers.

Hello.

First post. PS and MMO* newbie. Have done some reading, but would appreciate a bit more info.

PS' servers. Various ones dotted around the world. I've read they won't be linked.

Does this mean that each server will be running it's own PS world - ten continents - 24/7?

I'm in the UK, but play online games with some American chaps. I'd like to be able to play with them, but will I be able to switch betweenUK/Europe and US servers as I wish?

Or will I have to pick one server and stick with. (Or even be given it.)

Trust this wasn't too stupid a question.

The servers won't be linked, and i doubt you'll be able to change at will. So you'll have to pay a subscription for every server you want to be on.

I thought a single account could access any server, but only one at a time. The reason for that is so you can play more than one empire (which cannot be done on a single server with a single account).

I am fairly certain its not a subscription fee per server. You have an account - you should be able to just pick a server to play on. You will have a max amount of characters however.

I wonder if some of the bigger outfits will play different empires across multiple servers.

It would be fun to be in an outfit that uses players on 3 different servers where everybody gets together once a week on a 4th server for a bloody scrimmage.
