I feel like these are some of the best ways to advertise games that PS2 should try to use.
Live-Action These are always fun to watch and usually give a little background to the story or characters. It would be cool to see one with a three way battle and have a video for each faction. Maybe the videos would have interactions with each other. For example the VS soldier in the VS video fires a rocket which blows up a tank that knocks down the NC soldier in the NC video. Commentary/Explanation That video series there made me go out and purchase RDR. Videos like these are beautiful. They show the world and all the features and we see how cool the game is from a different perspective. They could be centered around the factions and the vehicles. Maybe a <vehicle> 101 series. These are just my favorites, does PSU have any favorite advertisement types they like to see possibly used for PS2? Last edited by JPalmer; 2012-04-09 at 08:54 PM. |

Yeah, they really need to do something. It could be dramatic, interactive, or just someone with a cool voice describing the game. Not having videos though, will hurt. Just watching that RDR video is making me reconsider trying it.

I was kidding around with the 'retard' comment. Personally I think in-game footage showing how the mechanics and gameplay work. For example my favorite Planetside trailer ever was player made and is still the best representation of what Planetside was.

I think it would be awesome to have somthing along the "Halo Believe Ad" but rather than some modes, they could admin powers to freeze a battle.
That would be cool; start outside a rever looking at the piolet and slowly fly backwards, revealing an Air to Air missile mid flight heading to a TR Galaxy. The camera then looks down and falls with a slight spiral, passing some TR rexo's hot droping on to a mountain with some semi-visible NC snipers on it, whom are running into some better cover, the camera turns behind them to revel a plasma shell moments away from impact. The camera then continues to fly's past the humming shell, into an epic tank battle... |

It used to be just one planet called Auraxis. In "The Bending" they split it up so that each cont (continent) became it's own planet. While its basically the same functionally, the old map was much nicer than what is there now. It even showed the weather patterns.
