dunno, here's what I'm gonna do:

First, imma start in VR training, try out a Reaver and a Mosquito, to see which one handles the best

if the Reaver is only like 10 - 20 KPH slower the Mosquito I'll fly it but if there's any more speed difference then I'll be flying the mosquito

if neither of those suit my needs then Basilisk

that thing looks so frickin' kewl lol

if you want to know the diff between the mosquito and reaver, just think of the difference between the fighter and bomber in BF1942

Well now, thats a pretty big difference right there. Well anyway i'm goin for both the mosquito for recon and the reaver when I want to own the crap out of ground targets, but i'm going to wait till I get my ground and armor certs first.

im not sure but from what i've heard it seems the mosquito willbe owning the air-to-air combat and anti-infantry, where the reaver will just be taking out ground vehicles. Seems the mosquito can be used for a wider range of tasks. But then again, reavers can be used a lot better for cover and also, something i can't wait to see, is carpet bombing

also it seesm the reaver will be the most popular at the start of the game...mmmm Rocket/AA MAX fodder....hahaha . On a more serious note though, it seems like the abundance of reavers will be easy kills, especially for the damned TR with their homing missles, because of the reaver's lack of speed. I don't know about you guys but i'm going for the galaxy(omg, a galaxy pilot going for the galaxy?!?!) then the mosquito, then the reaver.

I would have though a reaver would beat a Mosquietoesin air to air combat. The reaver may lack a bit of manovarablity, but the increase in weapon strength and armor would make it far superiour. As for Air to infantry, i think the reaver may still hold it over the Mosquietoes, depending on how effective rockets are, although the machine gun (or chain gun) on the reaver is still slightly better, not even including the rocket launcher. Mosquietoes would be best for recon, or deploying a sniper without being noticed.

Of cause this is all assumption, but hay just my thoughts.

Ill probably go reaver to start with, but will work with a group of us, so some Mosquietoes too

I think the galaxy will be one of my first, but I was just wondering...
Say you take out your galaxy, fully manned. You know getting ready to assault a base. Now, instead of the galaxy pilot just serving as an air lift, and also not just leaving it there to grow over in weeds--or worse get hijacked--why not just blow that thing up? Not a big deal if you were smart enough to bring along an AMS. The only problem would be grief points I suppose? Maybe we need a self destruct option.

You don't get grief points for killing someone form your own squad, so presuamably if you destroy a vehicle that belongs to a member of you squad you wont get grief points.

I disagree. Firstly, the missiles are completely innefective at fast moving targets (little lone a mosquito) and are better for attacking formations or slow moving tanks. And that then leaves them evenly matched with chainguns. At this point manuverability and speed will save the day.

With all the Reavers I just may switch to Skeeter whenever my Galaxy isn't needed. I know, forum is like 0.00001% of game population, not good indicator. Had a thought though, Reavers will be awesome at downing Galaxies from the huge blind spots above/below (head-on a little too risky for me) if the pilot's any good with those rockets.

It is. Smokejumper was talking about being hunted by Skeeters while in a Reaver a long time ago. It's apparently faster and more manuverable by a huge degree.
