It told me I had 45 non-recurring days on my PS1 account. All I did was install PS1 and play and it activated that 45 days. It gave me an end date and everything.

Petty neat because I never really got the chance to experience Planetside. I think playing it will really make me appreciate PS2 a lot more.

I did get a beta key from the Planetside 2 Twitter so between my PS1 account and now this key, I'm all set.

My friend played planetside 1 with me when I got him on the reserve-trial, I wonder will that qualify him for the beta? I'm pretty sure yes since they specifically state, EVERY planetside1-player get in before others. Hoping so, would really like to get him in quick.

So at this point I do have to wonder, what are the chances actually looking like for people who haven't played PS1?

Ill be really sad if I cant get in due to the favor being put on PS1 players.

(No offense of course)

They didn't in tribes ascend it just went right in with all your unlocks. They were also selling stuff in the beta too, I imagine in open beta they will be doing that here to, to start funding coming in.

Sure sure. The sooner they can fund it the better! They'll certainly want/need to put the store/marketplace through its paces before launch.

Yep plus unlike other games theres no reason to take away progress it's free to play and you are unlocking side grades that don't really make you more powerful.

I do agree. Though I can see them saying, "We'd like everyone to start on the same level at launch (regarding stats and Battle rank attained during Beta)."

Unless that wasn't what you were meaning.. =)

by the sounds of things they will need a lot of players to test it so beta invites will be high so chances are good for a lot of people getting in

dont forget....higby said there were hundreds of thousands of players that signed up for the beta...and PC gamer keys alone im sure reaches into the tens of thousands, and thats only a fraction of the number of PS1 vets.

not to mention the amount of keys they sent out on twitter and FB so far are close to 1000 if not over.

The maxmum they'll run for the beta will be a couple thousand....it will be very unlikely that even all the people with keys will get in at once before open beta

During one of the live streams I recall seeing 4 beta servers listed at one point.

So there will be room for a lot of people. But like you said, maybe not everyone for closed Beta.

I feel if you don't have a pc gamer code, a twitter code or a PS1 vet, i would say the chances are low to get an email unless they want to majorly stress test before open beta.

But the problem if they don't let everyone with a pc gamer code in there is going to be a hell storm i have seen people paying 40-100 dollars for these codes.
