Glitch in the last game, feature in the new one?


Every now and then some one would find a way to get a buggy or a mossie into a base and I remember some of those doors being more than big enough for atvs. My thoughts are why should it not be possible if you can fit the atv through the door, to drive right in? This would seem to balance itself rather well since if you are dumb enough to take an atv in you become deci bate. Should this be a feature? For the devs it would be a matter of leaving something out rather than adding new stuff to the game.

Nope, this would make it able for a Fury to get on to the base wall, driver to the top, and blow a Biolab gen in a matter of seconds.

For certain vehicles like ATVs, I don't have a problem with it. But many bases are big enough to fit buggies inside, which would be a bit much. Imagine a switchblade set up inside the back hallway of a base. No enemies would make it in.

I have had a fury get inside the vehicle term room of a techplant, but it wouldn't go up the stairs.

We don't know the new base layouts, and now we have confirmation of them being destructable (at least to a point), it might be cool to have something like this. Right now in a base, you have 1 or 2 ways to get to certain locations. If the new bases have more options, then I could see this as being a great addition. It all depends on the base layouts.

I think I made a thread back in March asking if certain Planetside gitches should become intention design choices.

This was not one of them.

Edit: We need to see the bases, or at least find out more about them before anyone can have the slightest clue as to whether this could be a good idea or not.

Deconstruct your tank outside then reconstruct it in the base spawn room.

In the distant future they will create these things called "Bollards". Which can be placed in front of doorways or other objects to protect them from unwanted vehicle intrusions or collisions.
