Hey folks,
with a 2500K OCed to 4.3ghz on air with a 7970 Ghz edition, if I upgraded to a GTX970, what kind of fps improvement or overall gaming improvement do you think I would see? Thanks!

How is your FPS now? I haven't played in ages, but my rig was similar to yours with a 7950 and it played pretty damn well.
A 970 is a good boost over a 7970, but I am not 100% sure of the actual gains for this game.
