Mic/voice cuts out constantly help =(

Basically my mic worked fine for ages, now it works for a while then it cuts in and out randomly, and I noticed tonight it cuts out the voice of other people talking as well BUT if I alt tab it works perfectly its only when I'm tabbed into the game it does this.

Literally as I type this I can hear people chat but the second I tab back in they get cut off abruptly mid sentence. Any idea how to fix this? its not only annoying missing most of a conversation but its actually a major issue when listening to orders

Edit: Oh aye and it works perfect in every other game, its a webcam/mic combined and the webcam works fine the mic works perfectly in TS its only planetside 2 which is having issues with it

I am having some voice chat issues for some time now as well. My outfit had voice chat issued so we've got a TeamSpeak server but it seems these issues were fixed as I am one of the only ones on it.
And that's because everything is normal then the voice chat cuts out, comes back for a few seconds and then cuts back off and it appear to be only for me and possibly for some of my friends as well but I can't tell. I am playing with Pro7, could that be an issue? Anyway I've sent a couple of bug reports by now and I'm still having the issue, as a matter of fact, I think I've had it for weeks now and it sucks.

Aye it does, I've been on TS with outfit all day and mics worked perfectly and I hear people fine so its definitely a issue on soe side. Its more then a pain too, one of the major ways of communicating with a platoon is broken.

But you know what's funny? That I am currently only one in the platoon not having this issue. The only difference between me and the other guys is Pro7. Ring any bells yet?

I think I've fixed my problem by following this guys post.

The only difference is that I've deleted some other files as the files he mentioned and mine weren't exactly the same, I've placed the following files into a different folder on my PC as backup and thus removing them from the game:
