After I just bought the Alpha Squad, the site was down at all to reserve the name. So it is still possible or I just have to be lucky at all?

Also, when it is possible to download the release client?

It's too late to reserve now unfortunately.

The current info is that there won't be any preloading. You have to wait until release before you can download the new client.
