I think people have got a bit confused over your initial question.

The reason AMP stations sometimes look like having a smaller SOI and sometimes look like having a larger SOI is this:

SOI size is dependent on the level of NTUs in the base. On the maps you will notice that the bases with high NTU percentages have the largest SOIs.

The AMP station increases the sizes of the SOIs of the bases your faction controls on that continent.

So if ur AMP station has lower NTUs than ur Tech Plant then it will have a smaller SOI, but the fact that u own the AMP station means both SOIs are larger than they would be without it.

You've got it the wrong way round. You can only use the HART on a locked continent, not the warp gates.

plus, they've changed the continent lock to not allow HART entry, only through warpgates. So although you could take a tower near a gate, it would be hard to hold since the enemy knows exactly where you are and can concentrate in the vicinity.

Looking at what he said...asking for clarification...and Ive seen it said that a major patch is going in this week adjusting CL, Grief, some other stuff...
