Lol Noxey. I had that same system for about a year. It wasn't bad at all IMO.

I reran 3DMark11 and scored P9119 (ITS OVER 9000!!! ).

That was with my CPU @ 4.6 GHz and GPU @ 1200/1450. I don't think I can get much more out of the GPU at this point unless I maybe did water cooling as it starts getting errors after 70 C. I probably could get my CPU to do benchmarks at 5.0 GHz. Though thats going to be on a cooler morning.

Intel 2500k @ 4.7GHz
MSI P67A-G45 (B3) motherboard
Gigabyte Windforce 3X GTX 670 OC (1060MHz base / 1243Mhz boost)
16gb Kingston HyperX @ 1600MHz
Crucial M4 128GB SSD
Western Digital Blue 1TB HDD
Corsair SE White Graphite Series 600T Case
Corsair H100 liquid cooling

It gets pretty damn close to a stock 680. Very happy with my 670.

Deezy is your 670 overclocked at all besides the factory settings?

Yes. I'm sure you're familiar wit the OC system on the Keplar GPUs They work like Intel Turbo Boost. My base speed is 1060Mhz (it doesn't run @ this speed while idle, usually ~ 324Mhz) and it overclocks itself to 1243 MHz in [demanding] games or in benchmarks.

Wow. That boost is ridiculous. Wasn't sure if you increased the potential boost, I've seen the boost go by what is set to do anyway.

Mine goes to 1200mhz, do I need an SSD because everyone's scores are destroying mine.

Do you have the Gigabyte 670 also, Bags? Also, idk if your type disk drive affects your scores. Doesn't everything get loaded into memory first before the benchmarking sessions initiate?

no, it was out of stock when I ordered, I got the msi reference model. It's default at like 1045 MHZ, but when playing BF3 it goes up to 1200mhz

Nice. MSI makes a good card. I have the 560ti TwinFrozrII still. The Gigabyte default speed on the 670 is 980MHz, arguably the most conservative of the non-reference cards. It oc's pretty good beyond that, though.

I guess your factory clocks are this?;
Core Base Clock - 980MHz (standard 915MHz)
Core Boost Clock - 1058MHz (standard 980MHz)

1243 is good for a 670 , you got lucky

It displeases me how much of a lottery it can be though, Nvidia only promise a 65Mhz turbo, anything else is luck :/

But all the reviews have turbo at 1200++ and quite a lot don't even bother to say what turbo their card did get making it impossible to actual compare against other cards including other Nvidia cards.

Yea the Gigabyte default speed is 980 / 1059. What my card doesn't do well is allow for aggressive memory overclocking. I can barely get an additional 5Mhz out of it. Tried adjusting the power limit and voltages, still nothing major. No too bothered by only a 5MHz gain though, considering the core oc potential.

Yeah, I wanted it due to its quietness, and I was gonna send this one back to exchange, but I got wrapped up in school and forgot and then it was 2 months later. oh well it's not too loud

This card is definitely the most quiet one I've ever had (save for my early RIVA TNT2, it was worlds quieter ).

this one makes a weird grinding noise but if I wear headphones I can't hear it until 80%. So I run my fans at 70% and get 60C with 1200mhz
