Honest predications

No fantasies in this thread, just what you think the game will be like when its released.

My predictions:

• Most existing weapons and vehicles present
• Ancient tech and caves gone
• BFRs, Gal gunships, Vulture, Deli/Sundy variants gone.
• 2 man Reavers
• Recoil rather than CoF system
• Infantry third person removed
• Head shots
• BR limit of 20

I would not want to see headshots unless its for snipers only.

I know Smed said no BFRs, but what i would rather see is something 1/2 way between a BFR and a MAX. It has a presence, but it will be more situational, instead of a 1 man deathmachine.

Headshots =/= to one hit kills. I like the idea that aiming, beyond simply hitting any part of the target, matters.

I'm ok with that list...but I really hope they don't cut down on the diversity of vehicles by eliminating the variants.

The problem with headshots is NC.

So what I'm hoping for, and expecting more than a little is a move from shotguns to Railgun and Gauss technology.

It's called a lightning. It's one person in a tank with a chaingun and a cannon. It's no mech and it's not faction specific and isn't AI, AV, or AA but it's a tank. Then again if it was faction specific it would be very similar to the sky guard which can be used by one person assuming they don't want to move. I liked the BFRs and wanted them to stay, but I can understand why they aren't coming back.

As for predictions I see these things:

• Same vehicle minus BFR, vulture, and gunship
• Same armor choices
• Implants still there, but probably changed
• Ancient tech gone or reinvented
• 6 degree of freedom flight
• Terrain is more complicated with more dense forests on Hossin
• No caves unless they're merged with the regular map
• NPC animals walking around since it was left out in the original
• New base takeover to go along with hack and hold and LLU.

Things I still have no clue how they're going to end up is command ranks and if the game will use the same hack base = CEP for leader system.

I would go NC for sure if they had a lightning with the NC Deliverer variant's gun.

Sounds more like a personal wish list than predictions to me.

I think they will keep CoF unless they are really confident they can keep the lag under control. Headshots are unlikely for all the reasons given in the thread about Headshots. Infantry third person getting removed is possible.

It's true BFR's an Caves will probably get axed just cause they were unpopular. Which is actually bad since if they were done right they could have been good. But yeah I don't see them wasting time trying to make something work that people didn't respond well to the first time around.

Longer sight distances
No OSOK weapons that are man-packable
More exotic CE
Far more detailed terrain
PhysEx processing for better collision models
Still will be years before any computer doesn't peg the needle running it just like the first one.
New, weird roles for the different people to play. Dedicated medic? Tunneler?
Some hooks that can be used to play or interact in some way from a portable device, even if they are not used up front.
Longer sound ranges, so planes can't sneak up on you like they do now.

I'd guess there will be iron sites and a sprint ability. So many fps games have this it's kind of expected now days.
