Not to completely necro this thread (even though I suppose I will be by posting this), but has anyone heard of a timeline yet?
The most "official" answer I've seen was on the PS2 Facebook Page with them (MissMurder) saying that it was scheduled for a 2012 release. This was in response to a comment on their page 13 hours ago. I know we're all hoping for a Bet(t)a announcement at E3, which would definitely make sense for a "2012 release." |

Q4 is my guess, and partly based on something I heard T-Ray say.
Can't immediatly locate the footage (am @ work, don't have much time) but it was, iirc, mr Higby was telling people the events and locations were we could follow and find info on the development of Planetside 2, and while listing dates of events, T-Ray said something along the line of "don't forget the SOE something something in october". So that made a light bulb go off in my head reaffirming my idea about a late year, possible early next year release. Or my schizofrenia is acting up again...

Full release might be Q1/Q2 2013. A fairly long beta phase is to be expected

It'll be ready when it's ready.
If they commit to a definitive date at this point they're just going to end up being wrong. Given the PS community's masterwork-level whining capability, I think they want to avoid that.
