Relatively empty servers - READ THIS!!!!!!!

I have been playing PlanetSide since the beta. I I remember how many players were there when the game launched. Whole armies fighting on multiple continents at the same time, a lot of maximum continent population locks, at least 1500+ (by my feeling) on a server per empire.

After a while, I slowly stopped playing.

Now, I have started playing again via the Reserves program. And I have noticed that there are maybe a 100 people per empire on a continent, and all three empires are mainly fighting on Cyssor and Forseral.

I know that maybe making new players come to Planetside is very difficult, however what I am about to suggest, is quite easy to accomplish.

I THINK ALL THREE PLANETSIDE SERVERS SHOULD BE UNITED INTO ONE.

Maybe US East would be most appropriate, as both Europe and US west would be pinged relatively similarly.

What do you (players) think? And the developers at Planetside official forum?

Please someone post this in the official forum in the Development section, since I don't have access to the servers because I have no active Planetside membership.

Hell no.

The Ping would be horrible with average PCs.

PS doesn't NEED to merge servers again. When ever you hear about a MMO's server merge it's b/c it's going down hill, PS doesn't need that kind of public view anyway.

I don't want to play with a bunch of Europeans on similar machines. I suck bad enough at this game without having to go against 2/3ds more people whose pings are vastly different to mine.

Well... technically it'd be like 1/3d plus the fifteen people from Werner.

Being from Markov, I wouldn't mind the farming of Emeraldites and Wernereans for awhile.

Hey this thread isn't a server war, we know Emerald Players would have to be nerfed anyway.

US west pinging relatively similarly to US east compared to Europe !?

Oh, go on and merge the servers to US and the lag will drive europians far far away from this game.
You might think of merging the US servers. Not possible for the Europe-server though.

Merge Markov and Emerald, and leave werner alone. Markov has declined in the last 6 months, and I know I have left my markov character to play on emerald because of the boring fights on Markov.

Plus, I imagine that the ping for werner folds would be tremendous.

It's been said before, but it probably wont happen anyway.

BTW, saying "I've been playing since beta" doesnt count unless you have ACTUALLY been Playing Nonstop SINCE beta (which nobody in their right mind could have done).

Yeah I can't say that, but I've been paying since day 2-nonstop.

A merger would seem kool, but yes reputation-wise, it really makes ps look like its in the shallows.

Merge Markov and Emerald. Leave Werner alone. Move the Markov/Emerald server to the midwest, like Ohio so that east and west cost people have regularly the same ping.

Ohio is pretty close to Cali, New York would be too far though

i am from europe and i play on emerald. many players already migrated to emerald.

however, merge markov and werner with the server in the eastcoast

because we really dont want more plasma here

Leave Werner alone, and merge Markov with Emerald. And then add an asian server so Planetside gets more popular!

wow, ignorance.

many many MANY europeans play on emerald already. if you didn't know that then you don't see the difference in game play. remember, before werner was created they all played on Emerald. some never left.

Merge em all. cut subscription rate. no more "upgrades" no more "content" like we ever had that anyway. put the game on lifesupport, and just let us frag each other. that's all we want to do.
