Sounds a lot like "The Pacific" Intro Theme:

But, I like it. It's got that soldier drama feel.

Play Don's music while watching The Pacific muted. It just works!

There's also this one that was posted up too, Temperate Travel, now with vocals? Makes it bit creepier, wish the music was a bit upmixed along with it though XD

I loved the temperate music. It was one of the few songs I remembered from PS1. It fit so perfectly with the environment.

DF needs to be hired again

I would love to hear some remix's of Esamir's music - that was the first music I heard when playing PS1, and has always been my favorite.

I'm actually a little meh about this. I can understand re-orchestrated, but to me it just sounds like two, maybe three different "parts" thrown in together. I'm a fan of Don Ferrone, but to me it seems like this was a 5 minute hackjob. Didn't seem as refined as his other works.

Hey, even Joe Dimaggio struck out a few times. I'll chalk this up to Don having a 'bad' day.

The fact that he took time at all to redo a song that was used 8 years ago and more than likely has no value other than nostalgia for veterans, deserves a high five.

Loved it.

You can get all the "new" original recordings as used in PS here:

http://www.donferronemusic.com/index.php?s=listen

He's apparently also done some work for the "Army Men" games, with a similarly epic feel to them.

But his website doesn't appear to have been updated in a year or four, so there's probably more stuff that he's done floating around out there...
