Well the resolution in the beta probably isnt very good, you add on the fact that screenshots are often poorer quality than the real thing and I think the graphics will be pretty good. Of course it does all depend on your comp specs...a good reason to upgrade.

Looks ok. I think that it will look better in game and depending on the computer. I think just the pure vastness you can see is a big drainer of power. I'm upgrading majorly in the summer. For now, I'm just getting some more RAM, 512 MB or so. They've said it isn't going to look as good as UT2003 but that game is basically all indoor. I'll turn off shadows and that'll free up so many resources it'll run 50% better. Shadows do that...I'll be sticking to 800X600 which is what I think that is. My processor is acceptable but my vid card is good, especially for a processor of that speed. A Gig or so processor with a Radeon 8500. It's jsut a bit behind the GF4 Ti.

1 gig ram
geforce4 ti 4600
21' monitor

Got it in september becuase games were running slow and Planetside is coming out. Only got cable a year ago for Planetside too. Now its just 2 more months, but it is so much harder than the last 2 years

In the summer I'm doing a major upgrade, a AMD 2200+ or so. maybe more. A Radeon 9500 or 9700. Those will be the major upgrades I'll do.

Has anyone else noticed that in the screenshots on the diagram of the vehicle in the bottom righthand corner of the screen the rear of the lightining is red. What do you think this means? Perhaps he took damage there recently and that area is more vulnerable now? Interesting....

I believe it lights up like that to show where you are getting hit and/or are damaged.

I'm fairly sure that the vehicle graphic there is the 'health' - the graphic fills up with red from the bottom to top as you get damaged. When it's full, the vehicle is destroyed.

As vehicles don't have different hitzones, and the bar does fill as hits are taken (from movies) it can't really be much else.

The direction hits come from is given by the red flashing chevron-shaped things in the middle of the HUD as you are hit.

I've seen that there is no region specific damage on people, but not vehicles. It might be safe to assume the same would go for vehicles but I hope tanks have different armored areas. It would really make flanking useful and more strategy in attacking. Not sure whether or not they plan on putting it in vehicles. Do you knwo anything Hamma?

the red does not indicate where the vehicle was damaged.

its like a percentage health bar.

it fills up from bottom to top.

In one of the screenshots I looks like someone was a bad boy and got his weapons locked.

Take a look at image 7/29

The character is at battle rank 20, and at last I heard that was the maximum battle rank.

He's got no certification points left: I assume they've all been spent.

Looking at the certifications he has in the list on the right, and the fact that the scroll bar only shows a small amount of movement left, I'd say that rank 20 does not mean you have anything like a lot of certifications. I'd say that many of them must cost more than 1 cert point each.

Actually, the more I think about it, the more nuts this seems - they must not have gotten a full 21 cert points to spend, this guy doesn't have anywhere near the number of certs I think he should have.

I signed up for that site on my hotmail address. That's probably why they asked for email anyway. I love to make spam accounts. It's freaky. I never sign up for nayhitn remotely like porn and I still have "crazy mdget sex" in the inbox...lol...Why would any gaming site or wahtever company send me midget sex!?!??!
