sounds like they are doing hardware tests on their beta servers.... considering when tb was there they did not have flak up and running yet i am guessing this is the sign that they are moving into internal beta and plan to give out some beta keys at e3 with a working demo (for everyone at e3 to play) of the game.

most likely this is just hardware testing going on... but good lord i hope this means we will start having beta tests around the same time as e3...

not sure tho if they are confident they might release before e3 to get some tweaking going but i severely doubt they will...

Some guy at Pro7 tweeted they were playing Planetside 2 beta yesterday.

Somehow I don't think it's quite that simple.
After watching TB's videos I don't really think the game is ready for beta yet.

Of course it is very early beta, where the first small wave of invites have been sent out. The next vid we see might have only have a hundred people playing. But this is how beta starts and like is says above "It has begun".

Well we can all agree it's coming along great. With hardware tests, an actual tweet about beta and the fact E3 is coming up I must say it is looking good!

As far as the game not being ready for beta... well, TB's test might have been on an older build... it is deffo older now than it was then :P and the problems they had with it then (at least what we saw) might have been easily fixed..

To me, this says either Beta for E3 to show off the full servers and make everyone who hasn't followed Planetside poop their pants in anticipation for it OR the announcement at E3 that beta invites are being sent out as they speak.

If someone is going to the show, they just need to let us know what the hair is looking like, that's the only way we'll know for sure.
