There's probably some legal mumbo jumbo that requires US citizenship. I know Earth and Beyond always got flamed for offering US only contests and such until their lawyers got things sort of worked out.

Would it help if you paid the difference it costs to send the cd's overseas to europe???

Anyhow, i think it is unfair, that they only allow US citicens to get open beta....

Do any good games come out of europe? just curious.

For all you non-us folks, just be comforted by the knowledge that when you get the game it will be well balanced and almost bug free. Those in closed beta can get fairly large headaches for bug reports and those in closed get to see the infamous "You have be disconnected from the server" message untill they get the servers set for stress.

Besides, European and other non-US servers will start off even. No one will know what the beta and open beta people do. If you dont get in an your a US player then you can be mad, because your starting right at the beginning and everyone else will be weeks ahead.

I don't Mind to much that their hardly letting ANY europeans into the beta..i mean when retail comes out i will be able to play in...How shall i say it...a 'Semi bug free enviroment' And even if everyone will be ahead and/or knowing more knowledge of the game than me, I'm sure they'd give all us newcomers a good helping hand? :P

There are some Euros in the exclusive beta..

Sides, your beta chars will be wiped so all you're stuck whit after beta is knowledge. But PS ain't brain surgery so i doubt it will take weeks

As for games out of europe, none that i know of but Chrome, Breed and Stalker are games thats comming out soon. They're all european AFAIK. Those games look pretty sweet aswell.

AO is also european (well norwegian), didn't have a ewry good start but the game is quite good now.

Hitman, Hitman 2, Black & White, Battlefield 1942... just to name a few. Don't really know where most of the games I play come from.

I have been playing that peice of crap since The Beta of it. All it has come to is 'oh I'm level 200 at last'

Yaknow Im not really sure if there are any game pubishing houses in Europe. They dont really say "Made in US" or "Made in EU" in the game or the case (unless they do and Iv just never seen it)
But you can sometimes just pitch a guess by going on the type of game or the names of the people in the cerdits. easy to spot the asian names

I would like to think that a few good games have been made in europe.
