A smokejumper is someone who parachutes into a wildfire to help put it, or rescue people. From what I can understand there are only about 400 smokejumpers in the world.

Wow, this really turned into an exciting thread.

I think you can sum up the whole Tribes Debate by saying Dave's vision for the game was closer to what Planetside is going to be. The Tribes Community wanted Tribes 1 with better graphics, and Alex gave it to them.

Why fight about it? In the end Dave get's to make his vision for a "Massive Multi Player Game on an Epic Level" (if I'm not mistaken that's what it said on the back of the T2 box) and Alex gets to make Tribes 3. Everyone goes home happy.

One guy wanted to make a war game, and the other wanted a sports game, and they both got what they wanted.

Now I tend to beleave that Serria was/is the problem with Tribes 2, because durring the same time frame that tribes came out I have had problems with Empire Earth, Tribes 2, and Gunman Cronicles. They all had diffrent Dev Teams, and all 3 had issues. The only common denominator was Serria.

Sorry Mareweas. I really appreaciate what you have gone through for the Tribes Community, but if you take off your corprate persona for one second am I wrong to not trust Serria after 3 bad experiences in a row?

Now let's go back to talking about how much we want to kill Hamma.
