Was looking at the Crysis 2 HUD again recently... it's fucking tops.
Good points you have here but I'd like to see the HUD become a little more integrated with the cock pit (so it doesn't just look like a simple overlay).

also Im a fan of the the reavers "helicopter" esque cockpit, gives the feeling that we hijacked and repurposed some old mining vehicles cockpit and slapped misses and jet engines on it.

I love the stuff so far, I can't get in this game soon enough!!!!!!



As far as balance concerns go I don't think it's that much of a difference for one side to have a clear advantage. But competition demands even ground, I think a couple minor adjustments might do the trick without making them look very similar.

Seeing this cockpit is a huge relief. After seeing mosquito cockpit i was afraid what reavers will have something simillar: bulky monstrosity that blocks like half of the view. Now i'm happy. That's what you call a cockpit, small and tidy.
Looks like TR is gimped even with virtual cockpit. I almost feel sorry for them...

Yeah, but like JHendy said, it doesn't make a lot of sense to have a crosshair that stays with your helmet when your weapons are all fixed forward. I'd say the same about the artificial horizon. Of course it's hard to tell exactly how that's going to work from a still photo.


Still betting that the Mossie cockpit doesn't go long before it gets another design pass. I think it's too restrictive in terms of both gameplay balance and how it should actually look. Those sidebars should be much lower. Even just moving the viewpoint up a few inches might help.

ever thought of the possibility, that the different view-obstruction could actually be part of the balancing? the aircrafts will play quite differently and obstructing part of the view for the aircraft that has the better handling seems like a legit tradeoff.

the factions will have different playstyles and tradeoffs.

you are whining because one cockpit blocks a little more view, and you demand an even playingfield for fair competition, but it´s ok, that the scythe will be able to fly backwards or do some other crazy maneuvers?

the scythe should even have a more obstructed view than the mossie has.

the pics of the mosquito was badly taken and the head was not properly display in the cockpit Iam almost sure thats the Mosquito cockpit is almost the same as Nc exept the Nc one is more angular and the mosquito one is more circular but both share the same designe Main window front two side windows !

just wait until u see a better pics of the mosquito !

The Scythe is going to be incredible! I would accept some kindof funky enhanced predator view, with inbuilt HUD. Like the fuze with it, or it has some kindof VR interface.

Epic win!

Cockpit looks cool, has good field of view and did I mention epic win?

The tower - obviously TR torture dungeon, but it looks good - dam I wish to take that tower for NC and then defend against hordes of angry TR scrubs.
