Groups within Outfits

New to the forums (hello everyone!), sorry if this has been asked/addressed before.

Could there be any way of creating a mini-outfit? They would have the perks of their own custom insignia and whatnot but still benefit from the organization of a larger outfit? I plan on playing this game with roughly 10 friends. We want to create our own identity within the game (as do all outfits I'm sure), but if we decide that a certain outfit isn't for us and leave. Then that identity would be lost.

In the first planetside you could have Squads link up in order to create platoons. It makes sense to me to allow that same linking capability to outfits.

Solo > Squad > Platoon
Solo > Company > Outfit

What do you guys think?

The devs have suggested that there's such a thing, but we don't have detailed information on outfit organization yet. The term that usually gets used is "Divisions".

I like the idea, especially in conjunction with the outfit customization that they're planning, which allows outfits to "cert" in certain categories. This way larger outfits can have an airforce etc, without having to create a whole new outfit to do so.
