Kinda in the same boat here. Saw PS2 and went "OMG! I remember PS1 and how fun it was!" and now I'm remembering why I hate SOE. Their website is confusing at the best of times and

the rest.

Do I have to buy the game? Is the only way to sub is to get the all access whats-it?

Every time I try to search for answers I get deleted posts, removed pages, or answers relevant to 2007. This thread being the most likely place to find an answer.

And to continue on topic, is the game worth it? How likely am I to see some good action since I live in NZ (GMT +12)?

From the link and logging in my acct I was able to choose 14.99 a month subscribe option and didn't have any form of payment on file anymore and it allowed me to log into the client and download the game and says I have 45 days left.

I thought you didn't have to "buy" PS anymore, you just had to pay the subs, but when I got through the above link it asks me to buy "Planetside All in One Bundle"

Does work? Just trying to install it now and when I run the Planetside exe after it's installed SOE Launch Pad only goes to 90% and then closes. May be McAfee blocking it but I don't know.

Should have something in McAfee Access Protection log if it did block it. Or you do you have McAfee Firewall too?

Hmm Ill check but im sorta dubious about that being the problem and half thinking it's something to do with SOE. Could someone actually clarify do you have to buy the game brand new from SOE or did they change it to a system where you just pay subs, this is if you have never bought PS before.
