I am just as confused. I looked up some gameplay and it looks like something I've seen before - something that's been out for a few years now. It also looks like a game that's been done over and over quite a few times. How does it have so many votes?

I don't really enjoy these kinds of endless voting for most anticipated games - to me I'm instilled with this immense dread and frustration that it isn't available to play, and MMORPGs can only satisfy that need so much before the game itself will relieve the tension.

For those unenlightened - DotA is a map for Warcraft 3 that became a separate cybersport discipline after some while since release. DotA 2 is a remake of the map, now made into a standalone game.

Also I must say that if DotA is leading on this site, than advertising PS2 there is pointless. I don't want "OMGCHEATERNOOB!" kiddies in my planetside.

correct me if i´m mistaken but dota 1 was the inspiration for lol so i guess dota 2 will also be more or less the same gameplay.
it´s a genre of it´s own and there are not many games in this genre yet, so that´s why their community gets wild about a successor.

just like we get wild because there is no alternative to ps1 if it comes to (real!)mmofps games.

i am confused because i don´t see firefall on the list ;-)

i could vote with 2 browsers and my phone, that uses the same ip (wlan)

so i guess this one is not ip based

Just checked myself. Poll saves a cookie (till june!), so revoting doesnt nessesarily work.
Well it does, but it wont be fair to just delete your cookie and revote.

This is clearly a call to the PS2 Facebook page. Get it posted there, hope that a good bunch of people vote.

Dota is sorta like Goldeneye, so popular everyone tried getting a piece of the rights, but no one got all the rights, or something. So then you get 4 or 5 different companies making their own spinoff.

Well it's clear that the dota community is doing it. almost 800 votes in an hour.

It's probably another bot similar to what was going on with the MMO site.
