I dunno, I stopped paying attention to that poll and thread when I realized that it was rigged.

Reading through the comments, it seems that there is a rabid community of dota players under a rock somewhere that made this their one day on the surface of the planet. And the Firefall guys are pissed 'cos they're not on their poll (maybe because Red5 forgot to kneel down for IGN's webmasters).

I think our goal of being 1 is good, but if we're on the podium finish, that's just as good. Every website has a slightly different audience, and each place has different contenders. That MMO site poll had a bunch of cloned Korean RPGs on it. TTH had some real games by real developers. This is kind of like a mix of the two, but full of crap I've never heard of (which isn't good for the games since most of them are sequels).

Someone doing a search for "best games of 2012" will get a different result depending on what site they look. But if PS2 is one of the top contenders on all of them (while other titles appear on only one or two sites) I think that's just as noticeable.

Holy crap this is hard. I am a hardcore planetside fan but some of these games I know are going to be good. I really wish I could pick three. I will vote for PS2 though because I want the press to be all over it. The more zerg I can direct the more powerful I will become until the terrans and the new conglomerate fall before me.

DOTA is some sort of WOW shit mod or something like that. I don't know why it's on the top. And Mechwarrior? Really? What in the total fuck? I'd understand if GW2 and Diablo 3 were on the top. But the current ones make no sense whatsoever.
