From things Radar had said; referring to the tech test on the future tense "it will", we believe the tech test has not taken place yet. My guess is that would commence with the start of closed beta tomorrow.

No, Higby exclusively said beta. Its not the tech tests.

The Live stream from Higby yesterday had over 500 people, alot of those people were external technical testers.

I don't care if tomorrow is beta, external alpha, tech test or taco thursday, players are getting in. But anything anyone says about it should be loosely rooted in truth. Smedley said the EXACT opposite thing you said, as he was playing, while we were watching.

Lol. Thanks for the info. So basically it's all speculative with this particular point at the moment, eh?

Anyway, fingers crossed that I get in with my PC Gamer code tomorrow whether it's the tech test or the CBT.

Honestly, the beta test will happen when it happens. I'm chomping at the bit but I don't see me getting in before next week and will be surprised if we see any hints of beta before the weekend.

More than likely, you'll get the emails tomorrow, you can download Thurs and Fri, then boom, Saturday starts the Open Beta.

But, I hope they open the doors on Thursday and I can download/play when I get home from work

I hope it starts within the next twelve days or so, at least. That way I'll have the Steam summer sale to temporarily take my mind off of PS2 right until it opens up. But of course this has priority for me. I'm so freaking excited that I might squeal like a 12-year-old girl in line for the newest Twilight film.
