When is that fireworks thing gonna be removed?

It's really getting on my nerves now just having people fire it 24/7, SOE obviously didn't think it through when they started charging for it. I just hope it can be removed and station cash refunded or made to be some holiday only thing.

Seriously doubt they will remove it. For one, they charged real money for it. Plus, they made it a side-arm weapon, that does damage.

PS2 forums thread about this made today and closed down by forum mod today --> Remove the Stupid Fireworks. Now.

they won't remove because people payed real money for them things. i wish soe gave us a 1 day thing with those flare guns and than removed them but oh well . they are dying down now. it's not as bad as it was on the 4th.

Of course it was closed down. That thread was about as constructive as a trout in an Miss America Pageant.

Personally I thought [hoped] that it would be a one day a year, or two if you count New Years Eve, where everyone would be given a fireworks gun to celebrate. Why? Because it doesn't fit into PS2 as anything other than a special event item. A flare gun? Sure, but not a fireworks gun.
But noooo they had to get all greedy and monetize it. No way that it's going away now.

I do really wish they would change it to just be a normal flare. It actually has uses on the battlefield but right now it's just a fun toy.

I think it's funny that the person that made the I still think weapons are boring as shit. thread is complaining about a weapon made for fun.

Not only did they sell them, but they made it a rare item that will only be sold for holidays and they attached a unique title to it for getting 50 kills with it. It's not going anywhere. It will die down, but I doubt people will completely stop using it.

I plan on using it as my permanent sidearm. so come october, if you see one, it's me. I didn't play all week but i heard it caused immense lag.

After the new wears off you will hardly ever see it again. The gun itself is pretty worthless. This kind of whining the op does really gets on my nerves.

it isn't going anywhere, but here (at least on briggs) i have seen less colours flying everywhere. it will die down eventually and get old.

I also wish it would be more of a regular flare gun. Bought is thinking it might benefit me as a squad leader and captain in my outfit. I hate the current design I wish it was more a true flare and less a firework.

auraxis will have to be renamed to fireworxis. in other mmo´s stupidity items are among the most used items, especially when you can troll people with it.

does this thing use ressources for ammo?
that would be the only way to at least decrease the use as a troll.
