Hmm, he removed the YouTube video as well.. Basically it was what looked like PS1 bases (but modified) in the PS2 engine. Why take the video down though unless it was requested by SoE, IDK..

No, not the MAS factories. I got to see some new modular base designs at SOE in 2005. They were pretty cool, with lots of hidey-holes, catwalks above main corridors and empire colored running lights on the walls near the floor. The new base walls look identical to those, flat on top with almost no lip for cover. The inside stuff was pretty cool, but development never went any further that I know of.

typwn stated in the enforcer thread, that he got a request to take it down because it´s no ps2 work but was some sort of soe tutored school project.

Ah ok - we saw one of those as well the TR MCG back late last year. Also removed that one.

But why can't or shouldn't we discuss this or the NC buggy concept? It's simply part of someone's portfolio after all and as a school work, it is allowed to go public, afaik.

As long as it's clear it's not official work, we can consider it 'fan' concepts or simply what it is: alternative concept art studies for student practice?


Hell, why not just move it to the PS2 Idea section?

So there was this awesome video about a helipad forged onto the cliffside shadowing a base and...

Oh my, I just wish they kept the concept even if it has no practicality whatsoever.
