Good for whom? It depends on your specs. Someone who is used to playing on a really shitty comp, who moves to an average one would tell you that 15 FPS justs makes his day, but someone who only plays on top of the line comps won't settle for anything under 60, in ANY game. I don't play either so, I couldn't tell you.

or a P4Extreme Edition 3.4ghz

on a NF2 250 gb or Asus P4C800-E Deluxe (875 chipset) respective to the chip

Then for the EE i would say 2 GB'sof DDR500

for the Athlon i would say 4 gb of DDR400

Then a radeon 9800XT

2 Western Digital SATARaptor 74 gb hard drives in a raid 0

then 500 watt PSU to power it all

No Matter what you do Halo is going to be a pain in the ass, Multiplayer is fine with settings cranked up. Halo should have gotten a better developer than Gearbox.

Singleplayer sucks and the star of Halo PC is the multiplayer you'll love it and it will run great but make sure to run it on 1024x768 alot of people go unplayable after that.

I play Halo regularly when I get sick of PS. I love it, single and multiplayer, both rock. I have a pretty top of the line system:

Intel P4 3.2C
2 Gigabytes Corsair RAM
ATI Radeon 9800XT
Dual 120gb 7200RPM Seagate HDD's in Raid 0
Creative Audigy 2 ZS
450 watt Antec Power Supply

I run Halo with everything on high, but keep it at 800x600, so that it will stay at a constant 60fps. If I put it on 1024x768, it never drops below 30-35, but the framerate fluctuations screw up my shot with the pistol and sniper rifle.

The Halo engine really is poor. I would think with a high end system like this, fps should be better than that. I get about the same fps in Halo as I get in FarCry, and the graphics in FarCry look worlds better.
