Will Planetside run...

Well every time I start to talk about PS I always have to mention I was a beta tester for it and yes I still have the 3 CD that they sent out.... anyways...

I quit PS a while back ago due to comp issues....Really bad issues and now Im going to get a new comp : ). I been waiting for this moment for a long butt time...Well Can you guys look at this comp and tell me how good PS will run on it?

You are more than set

RAM maybe your only issue, get 1GB (its flawless) but 512 is more than enough to play

I would get a better mached pair of 512's is i were you like corsair XMS instead or 1.5 gigs. The timings on that would be a bit faster, and relay anythign over 1 gig is overkill at this point.

Also if you goin for AMD 64 you may want to wait for the 939 socket AMD64's then they will all be dual channel, they should be availible within a month of now.

Both the Athlon 64's and FX-(51, 53)'s will be moving to that platform

I'd recommend getting a 400W power supply though.

ok look at it again....

I know have 1gb of ram and a new type...Im trying to lower the price as much as I can...Why should I go with a 400w. The only thing I can lower is my VIdeo card. Its $425 for it...I only want it b/c it has 256mb of memory...Is there a defrence of 256mb or 126memory?

*edit* I got a 126mb video card...Its really nice...Will PS run really good/fast still?

NO there is no difference at all

The ammount of video memory doesn't realy matter at all, its all in the core and speed of the memory.

The FX5700 ultra is quite nice you might want to also look at the radeon 9600XT

Though the radeon 9800XT(or was it pro) would be far far better than ether of those though if you can afford it
