Buggies, confirmed?

Buggies. They seem to be very popular among the Planetside veterans, indeed I understand why. The developers over at SOE also seem to believe that they are a great addition to the game, however they did state that buggies won't be in the game at launch. At least if I recall correctly.

Though in this article over at Eurogamer which was released today - written by a visitor at SOE last weekend - the author seems to have driven one.

Could this merely be a coincidence, perhaps the author mistook the "bus" for a buggy? Or are buggies - in some shape or form - in the current beta build?

Like to hear your thoughts on it!

Probably the ATV, However they did say they already had the buggies modeled and will put them in after release.

Though he probably meant ATV, i find that very hard to confuse with a buggy. And im not even a PS1 vet.

And he was trying to write a pun in the article, cause its in beta he will use a buggy meaning in beta you have bugs.

Same here, I get that they both have four wheels and all that.. Though that's probably it right?

Should've called it a car-bike if he disliked quad, ATV or Flash

Pretty sure he meant ATV since no one has mentioned "the return of the buggy" since Friday except this noobo.

Im sure they call ATV's "buggies" over there. Just as they call car hoods a "bonnet"

Well buggys were often used as the heaviest vehicle a REXO could drive, now with only MAXs having the armor restrictions the buggies kind of fall out of place.

I liked buggies they were fast and I could easily get out and fight in a REXO. It was a great skirmisher especailly on those multiple tower captures. While in a air/cav or tank means in order to move into the tower I would have to get out in agile armor.
