Vehicle question

Is there a way to bail out of your vehicle if you're going to get shot down or something like in BF1942 or do we just go down with the ship?

I think you can bail out and there are little damping thingies in your boots or something so you won't be damaged. I'm not sure if this is actually implemented though. Ask Hamma, he probably knows

yes you can bail out of vehicles. Kenetic dampeners slow your descent.

edit: i think hamma forgot to try it, but they mentioned it in the gamespot preview.

Yeah, something like that though from what I understand. Hamma didn't test it, like he said, but, I have a feeling how it works is you fall, just not as fast as you normally would. According to somewhere, I read that if you get hit during your decent, it stops working and you can/will fall to your death.

That would be one of the first things I would do! Get a Mosquito, point it straight up, fly until you hit the altitude barrier, and jump and hope you won't die!

But will they work thousands of feet (or whatever the altitude limit is) above the ground? If so, I would think it would be sweet if a Galaxy flies at the highest altitude directly over an enemy base and everyone jumps out and lands inside the base. This would be a sweet way to get past the defenses.

Yeah it would. You see a whole outfit landing on your base from like 1000m up or something lol. Can MAXs jet while falling? if so they could hover a bit longer and just bombard people below then land.

I wonder why the Vanu didn't do that when they were attacking that TR installation when Hamma was there... Maybe because they didn't have ME as their general. Of course, if I get into beta, the Vanu will definitely get superior tactics because well... me. I don't mean to seem cocky... but I'm better than you. There is no way you can actually be any good at this game because I am the best and I am the only person that will ever be good so just withdraw your beta applications right now so I can get into beta
