Well, my old 5700FX has reached the end of its days in my eyes, I tried replacing it last year but my pc seemingly hates ATI cards and I can't seem to solve that, I prefer nvidia anyway (x700, x1300 pro, and a 9600 wouldn't run at all).

So, I am looking for a Nvidia card, tops of 150$, that a 430w powersupply can run. Oh and it has to be 4/8x AGP. Please help me .

So far I have come up with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...814141026#spec
but I am only mildly tech savvy.

That biostar is a mid-high end part from 2 years ago, it's probably as good as it's gonna get.

This here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150166

has more pixel pipes, and faster core speed, but slower memory with a smaller memory bus. So I don't know if it's better or not.

Try to find benches of 7600's and 6800's for comparison

I know it's probably a little more than you want to spend...but it will probably last you as long as you're with AGP.

I was going to suggest that card, but he said tops of $150.

Hmm, well since darkfall is a ways off and thats my main reason for keeping my PC up to date, I think thats the ticket, thanks Sent

On an off topic note, has CDL considered a darkfall division at all? I can really see CDL getting into Darkfall.

This is a bit off topic, but, how would one go about unlocking pipes in a vide card? Im thinking of getting a 6800le, and just unlocking the closed pipes.

Some card makers physically disable any extra pipes by taking the circuits right off the board. My guess is you'd need to be really handy with a soldering gun to enable 'em.

I have heard of some manufactures that dont physically remove them though. They are just "locked".

I think we're trying to break away from MMORPGs, at least for a while. I know that I'm trying to and I'm currently playing Scarface on the PC.

I'm looking forward to Quake Wars and Huxley. Though I have a bad feeling (in the Han Solo way) that both are going to be dissapointments. It is at that time I'll burn my PC and just go back to playing Monopoly.
